  3. seems a bit of a waste, there simply isnt 1080p worth of detail in gits blu-ray (same goes for the 2.0 version)

  4. Why only 2.0 stereo? Shouldn’t it be 5.1?

  5. bluray has Japanese + English LPCM 2.0, could have used the 6.1 from 2.0 version but at a guess it would have been a bitch to sync

  6. adding to my last comment us/eu releases of gits had upmixed 5.1 english audio, the 6.1 japanese track on the 2.0 version was rerecorded for that release

  7. blu-ray has japanese 2.0 pcm, and english 5.1 ac3.
to put 2.0 and 1.0 sourcewise into the same bucket is exaggerated.
2.0 was blur festival, while 1.0 was grain pure.
there’s an upmix of 5.1 ac3 available on the english dvd release of gits for the japanese audio afaik.
hence you can do the upmix in playback.
to sync up 2.0 audio to 1.0 defeats the purpose of having 2.0 and 1.0…

  8. If the Blu-ray has English 5.1 AC3 why did you downmix it to 2.0 for both of your releases for this movie? :-\
